📝 Summary On June 19th, York Region Educational Services (YRES) hosted a successful three-hour community outreach table at the Ajax Community Centre. Represented by Hanna, the YRES team connected with local youth, families, and residents to share information about their partners at Durham Region Educational Services (DRES) and spark interest in local volunteerism.

⭐⛑️ Workplace Readiness: Health and Safety Workshop Recap! ⭐⛑️

On July 14, 2026, YRES hosted a Workplace Readiness workshop on Health and Safety. Volunteers learned to identify and report hazards, near misses, and incidents to prevent injuries and build trust. The session covered the Safety Response Framework (Spot, Assess, Act, Report) and how to communicate risks clearly. Through Blooket games and real-life scenarios, participants gained practical skills to foster a safer environment in future workplaces.
