Meet Our Founders

Co-Founder
Zak Aubin
Zak is a Carleton University Music graduate with an Interactive Media Design degree from Algonquin College. As a founding member of YRES, he played a pivotal role in establishing the organization's visual identity and creating its logos. Driven by a passion for media design, Zak uses creative digital arts to beautifully represent YRES’s mission and values.

Teagan Baboolal
Teagan is a Communications and Design Practice student at the University of Waterloo and the creative mind behind YRES’s official mascot, Nova. As the winner of the organization's mascot competition, she is passionate about digital design and dedicated to using her artistic skills to support and benefit local community initiatives.

James Treap
James holds an Honors Bachelor in Computer Science and specializes in developing, planning, and implementing advanced information networks. He excels at identifying client needs and engineering timely technical solutions. Beyond his technical expertise, James is a strong advocate for youth education and firmly believes in community empowerment through accessible learning.

Jessica holds an Honors Bachelor of Science and is an experienced educator for learners aged 9 to 65. As an innovative leader, she combines her analytical background with hands-on teaching experience to design high-quality educational projects. This unique perspective allows her to optimize the overall teaching and learning experience at YRES.
